Please reach us at info@biblical-matters.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The goal of Biblical Matters is to provide in depth exegetical study notes and commentary on books of the Bible for our users. Additionally, as the site matures and more data is added, there will be papers on special interest topics. The hope is that you, as a user, will find our content helpful in your ministry and a blessing to you personally. If this website accomplishes that for even a few folks, it will be a blessing to me just knowing that it has.
The materials located here are for you to use in study, class preparation, and as input for your own class preparations. My hope is that you will find the content here helpful in your ministry and a blessing to you personally.
The beginning offerings will be very underwhelming. If you take a look and find nothing of interest presently, I hope you will return from time to time and check for updates and additions. Also, if you like, you can subscribe to the site and we will send emails each time a new item is added. I will attempt to limit the frequency of emails to once per week so as not to inundate subscribers with emails.
There is one God. He loves us as His creation and gave His only Son Jesus to die as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Those who profess the name of Jesus as their savior, believe in Him, and are baptized into Him come into relationship with Him. Every person who does this receives the promised Holy Spirit as their helper and are freed to live in accordance with the Spirit and be freed from living in the flesh. The triune God – God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have existed and will continue to exist as one throughout eternity.
The Bible is the holy and inspired word of God. It was given by God through His servants and has been protected and maintained by Him and His holy servants from its time of writing until today. God’s desires for us, His precepts, and His story have been maintained through the centuries by God fearing and God loving men and women dedicated to passing His holy word on to us. It is gives us knowledge of who God is and how much He loves us. It also gives us a complete picture of how we as His children should live. This picture is given through His interaction with his people throughout history and finally in the revelation of the perfect man as He sent His beloved Son to live among us sinlessly and to die that we may have eternal life through Him. His word, as given to us, can be trusted without doubt or reservation.
Our Lord gave the perfect answer to our relationships as He quoted the Shema in the Gospel According to Luke:
Luke 10:27 (NASB 2020)
27 And he answered, “you shall love the lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
As we strive to please God, we must always strive to follow this basic precept. When we do, we will be in right relationship with God, in right relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ and our love for our neighbors who are not saved will be that of love and wanting to show Christ and His love to them in every way – word, deed, and teaching – which will put us in right relationship to them as well.
